How to Become a Tutor
The Peer Tutoring Program has two main tracks of the application process.
- Head tutors reach out to faculty, either in the beginning of the academic year or during the semester. Then, the head tutors contact recommended students to apply by submitting a peer tutor application if they are interested. Once students pass the first round, the head tutors invite them for an interview.
- Sometimes, students directly reach out to the head tutors in charge of the subject they are interested in tutoring. Here, head tutors respond by asking for faculty recommendations and submission of the peer tutor application. Once students pass the first round, the head tutors invite them for an interview.
In both cases, the Peer Tutor program makes the final decision of hiring the student as a peer tutor or not after two rounds of review: a) application + recommendation, b) interview. Please contact the head tutors if you would like a detailed explanation of how to become a peer tutor.
